The BIGGEST Mistake

People ask me all the time, “Sean, What’s the biggest mistake you see business owners make when it comes to sales?”

I talk to a handful of business owners each week regarding phone sales so allow me to share my .02

The biggest mistake I see business owners make is trying be a jack of all trades (i.e., do it all themselves).  Here’s what I mean…

When I’m talking to a potential partner and conversation goes like this…

Sean: “Who does your media buying?”

Prospect: Me. 

Sean: “Who does your copywriting?” 

Prospect: Me. 

Sean: “Who does your phones sales?”

Prospect: Me. 

Sean: “Who does your support?”

Prospect: Me. 

Or worse, the answer I get is, “My secretary… My kids…  My wife or whoever.”

It’s a dead give away they’re costing themselves a small fortune! 

The biggest mistake you can make, as a business owner, is trying to do it all or being a jack of all trades! 

If your business is a success it isn’t because you’re good at everything…  it’s typically because you’re good at one specific thing

(And that’s the undefeated TRUTH!)

Like Bruce Lee said, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”
